Örkelljunga Tourist Information

Wälkom to Örkelljunga, the village famous for its beautiful betongsuggas.

This spectacular beongsugga near
the Ängelholmsroad and opposite
the ålderdomshem Southgården
is very popular among all tourists and is really worth seeing.
The tourist office arranges special suggsafaris through Örkelljunga
all summer long.

In this central parkingplace
in the heart of Örkelljunga
you can enjoy this wonderful view:

The 3 photos above shows Örkelljunga in a nötskal.
The green building below is the meeting place for the pensionärs of the PRO
(Pensionary Revolutionary Organization). The members are the future of Örkelljunga!

The glad pensionärs sure have
a nice view of this mighty betongsugga from their windows.

This white pig (see below) is located at the corner of the New Square (Buskörartorget). In the background to the left you can see Swedens most expensive urinoar
built for 700 000 SEK by isterbuken
Carina – the svin queen.

Down below the Southgården you can admire this fine garden art:

This brilliant compostion called ”Heatherballs” is Swedens contribution to this years
Chelsea Flower Show (May 24-28) in London. The man behind this magnificent masterpiece
is the gardener from Hell, also known as Mr. Braindead.

In Örkelljunga we paint all trees in fantastic colours.

The creative artists responsible for this psychedelic happening are the so called A-team
from the Society Building Unit.

The tourist office at the Culture house is open every day between 10-14 (not on weekends). The new tourist boss is the only one in Sweden with no education or experience from tourism at all. But she sees and hears very well… Wälkom to Örkelljunga!
